The Oregon Contractors Workers' Compensation Trust received its certificate of authority from the State of Oregon and began operations in 1997.  Since then, it has become the best performing workers' compensation group for building and remodeling contractors, landscapers, nurseries and their suppliers.

More importantly, the "Contractors Trust" has saved its participants thousands of dollars a year in workers' compensation costs.  These savings have not come by accident.  The Contractors Trust takes tremendous pride in its commitment to excellence in underwriting, loss prevention, claims handling and risk management consultation.

The Contractors Trust's success has not gone unnoticed by Oregon industry leaders.  Over the years, the Trust has earned the endorsements of ten trade associations that have come to view this program as a major membership benefit for sponsoring associations.  In addition, the performance of the Contractors Trust is consistently superior to the ratings of those groups who cater to the same industries.

The Contractors Trust will never be as large as those insurance carriers it is most often compared to.  However, the Trust's Mission Statement clearly speaks to performance over bulk:

To provide our members and partners long-term access to superior risk management services, the quality of which, is measured by the effectiveness of lowering their cost of risk over time and membership services that strengthen the advantages of membership in our sponsoring associations.
